Time Management & Planning in College

I am not an expert by any means when it comes to time management and planning, but I do my best to get by! This remote learning period has really made me buckle down even more than I was before when I was living at Penn State.
Ever since I was in grade school I was always updating my district provided agenda, I color coded everything, every class had a corresponding binder, folder and pen so I would never miss an assignment!
As I have grown older, not much as changed. I have my wall calendar, my personalized Erin Condren LifePlanner, and my subsequent journals to help keep me inline. As well as utilizing Google Calendar, I input my class schedule and it alerts me 15 minutes before class starts… which honestly has been a godsend because there has been a handful of times I have been so in the zone I almost forget to go to class!
I personally love using the Erin Condren planner because it has more than enough space to write in all my assignments as well as club meetings and sorority events, and it comes with stickers! My mom also got me her Wellness Log and Self Care Journal Petite Planners which are really useful when tracking things like activities, food and skin care routines and such!

As you can see I love my journals! I love to make lists, and I even have a journal that is specially made with list prompts to help me destress when things get a little bumpy along the way! I love using different journals to track different aspects of my life to help me get organized!

Remote learning has been nothing short of easy so keeping this journaling routine has helped me so much stay on track and manage my time of being “in” class. I love starting every morning writing out a to-do checklist with everything I need to complete that day, it is so satisfying to go through and check things off throughout the day! I also love to end my day by writing in my One-Sentence Journal by Gretchen Rubin, based on her book The Happiness Project (a MUST read, btw!) This is a great night time activity because it helps me reflect on my day and write down one sentence so I can remember these moments in the future!

I hope this post finds you well, stay safe out there!
xoxo, talk soon!
