For my first edition of #WhatsInMyPotWednesday, I thought I would first delve into my intentions behind this new found hashtag! I have developed a love, obsession, for plants recently. And thought this would be a great way to perhaps have my plant love rub off on all of you! To gather most of the information about my plants I have used the “Picture This--Plant Identifier” app, to help me correctly identify the type of plant I have and the best care for them!
This week I will discuss the first plants I got that fueled my obsession. It seems that plants have become very trendy lately. I have noticed plant-influencers or “plantfluencers” have become somewhat of a thing and people really love showing off their new plants, especially myself! Many have created elaborate shelves and ways to show off their plant babies. I haven’t gone to that extent… yet-- but I am excited to once I graduate and have my own place.
My first house plant was an Arrowhead Plant or “Goosefoot.” These plants are known for being an air-purifier and absorb toxic gases such as formaldehyde, and ammonia. But, it is especially important to note that this plant is toxic to cats and dogs so be sure to place the pot in a spot where it will not be disturbed!

The Goosefoot symbolizes leisure, elegance and tranquility. These plants are SUPER easy to take care of, I got mine at the end of August 2019 and just recently (March 2020) repotted it to a bigger pot, and let me tell you, she loves that bigger pot! It is SO important to prune away the dead leaves and stems to ensure it grows, and water is once a week, my personal favorite watering days are Sundays!

I hope this post finds you well and you to begin your plant collection, stay safe out there!
xoxo, talk soon!
