Happy Earth Day, and coincidentally happy #WhatsInMyPotWednesday y’all! Today I wanted to dedicate this post to my love of plants! Growing up we didn’t have many plants in my house, we had one that my parents had that we eventually moved with us from Florida to Pennsylvania to Texas (I guess that’s why I am so comfortable with bringing all my plants on my many cross country adventures!)

I guess it would be corny to say, but I’ll say it anyways…. Joanna Gaines is my hero. I absolutely LOVE watching Fixer Upper reruns and the empire she has built inspires me. Whenever I go to Target I am pining over the Hearth and Hand collection.
Last summer I had the opportunity to take a trip to Waco, Texas and spend a few hours at the Silos, and it was nothing short of amazing! My boyfriend would describe it as “a female Disney World.” There were people everywhere, and everyone was so happy, it was such a positive environment to be around.

I think she is a great person to think about on Earth Day because of all the wonderful things she has done. She always hits up antique stores and flea markets for unique finds for her designs so she can be sustainable and repurpose things. And we can’t forget to mention her gardening skills! I am always on her magnolia blog reading about her latest gardening adventures and taking notes for my future garden!

The theme for Earth Day 2020 is “Climate Action,” we all need to do our part to help in sustainable efforts to take climate action so we can leave a beautiful Earth for the future generations! Eat more veggies than normal today, ride your bike around, recycle your plastic! There are so many little changes we can make that will make a big difference!
I hope this post finds you well and you find ways to be nice to Earth today, stay safe out there!
xoxo, talk soon!
