#WhatsInMyPotWednesday: Nerve Plant

Welcome back to #WhatsInMyPotWednesday, y’all! This week I am going to talk about one of my newest house plants! A few weeks back, I went on the hunt at Lowe’s for a new pot for my Arrowhead Plant (see previous post) and stumbled upon this cute little plant!

I present to you, the Nerve Plant, named after the leaves resemblance to veins in the direction of human nerves, how cool! The nerve plant can grow up to 6 inches tall! They have the potential to be a hanging plant, but will also thrive on your windowsill.

The Nerve Plant symbolizes rational wisdom, and I don’t know about you, but I could definitely use some of that right now! It is especially important to point out that this plant is non-toxic to your pets!

It is essential to water the Nerve Plant weekly, and monitor the soil, be sure your pot has a draining system of some sort. If I do not have a pot handy with a draining hole, I put a few layers of small rocks at the bottom of my pot before I place the soil in to ensure the water can drain properly!

If you have more than one plant, like I do, it is also helpful to get all your plants on the same watering schedule so you can knock it all out at once! My favorite watering day is Sunday! It’s my favorite day of the week, I put on a face mask and dance around the house with my headphones in and watering can in hand!

I hope this post finds you well, stay safe out there!

xoxo, talk soon!
